About PDF Perfect
PDF Perfect (pdfperfect.org) is a free set of PDF tools that runs entirely in your web browser. It was built by software engineer Ayesha Iftikhar in 2026 so that people could compress, merge, split and edit sensitive documents without uploading them to anyone's server.
Why I built it
Most free PDF websites work the same way: you upload your file, their server processes it, and you download the result. That's fine for a menu or a flyer. It's less fine for a signed contract, a bank statement, a medical form or a scan of your ID, which are exactly the files people most often need to shrink, merge or split.
Modern browsers are powerful enough to do this work themselves, so I built PDF Perfect to do it that way. Your file is opened, processed and saved on your own device. There's no upload step, so there's nothing to trust us with.
How it's different
- Client-side only. Every tool uses open-source libraries (pdf-lib and Mozilla's pdf.js) running in your browser. PDF Perfect has no file-upload server.
- Nothing to sign up for. No account, no email, no watermark on your files and no daily limit.
- Large files. Each PDF can be up to 1 GB; the real limit is your device's memory.
- Checkable. How it works shows you how to confirm in your own browser that no file is sent anywhere.
Who makes it

What PDF Perfect is not
PDF Perfect (pdfperfect.org) is an independent project. It is not affiliated with Perfect PDF Reader, MyPerfectPDF or any other product with a similar name, and it has no paid plan or subscription.
The tools
- Compress PDFs: Reduce PDF file size without losing quality.
- Merge PDFs: Combine multiple PDFs into one document.
- Split PDFs: Split your PDF into multiple files or extract specific pages.
- Edit PDFs: Add text, shapes, and annotations to PDFs.
- Rotate PDFs: Turn some or all pages and save the rotation permanently.
- Extract PDF Pages: Save only the pages you need as a new PDF.
What's next
More single-purpose tools are on the way, starting with deleting pages from a PDF. New tools follow the same rule: they run on your device, or they don't ship.
